The sea has always been my strength, my stay and my comfort, having been born near it, in Shoreham-By-Sea, in Sussex, and now living practically on it, in the far north of Scotland.

It’s no wonder that it was the first subject I painted, and the subject that brings me more joy to paint than any other. So much so, in fact, that I created a separate body of work to depict the huge power of the waves that began to show up on the canvas, during the worst of my healing crisis.
