Caithness and Sutherland Painting Classes
CAITHNESS AND SUTHERLAND PAINTING CLASSES
DUE TO COVID19 THE JANUARY AND FEBRUARY CLASSES HAVE NOW BEEN POSTPONED.
I am SUPER excited to be launching a new series of Physical Painting classes that will be running across four venues of Caithness and Sutherland in the new year.
Join me for 3 hours of complete relaxation and inspired creativity in various locations across Caithness and Sutherland. The format for each workshop is as follows-
Meet in designated venue.
Step outdoors for 45 minutes (weather depending) of complete immersion and connection to the local landscape. Demonstrations and guidance will be given in practical techniques, such as sketching, drawing, mark making and observation.
A mindfulness exercise will be given.
Return to the indoor venue for a guided demonstration and tuition and painting, followed by the creation of your own locally inspired painting that you will take home with you.

The current locations and dates are listed below, but these are likely to be added to throughout the year. Feel free to attend just one class, or as many as you would like.
Staxigoe Hall, with a visit to Staxigoe Harbour – Saturday 29th January 2022, 10 am until 1 pm (Postponed).
Mill Theatre, Thurso, with a walk to the riverside – Saturday 26th February 2022, 10 am until 1 pm.

Freswick Hall, with a walk to Freswick Beach – Saturday 19th March 2022, 10 am until 1 pm.
Staxigoe Hall, with a visit to Staxigoe Harbour – Saturday 28th May 2022, 10 am until 1 pm (new date).
All materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own. Class size will be a maximum of 10 attendees.
