Take Me to the Sea
I’ve been busy these past two weeks working on two sea inspired paintings. One as a commission and one for you to buy..and I remembered that I wrote a poem that might explain why I am drawn to the sea (see below).

Sometimes a poem can say more than a painting, and sometimes vice versa! There’s plenty more poems and short stories in me. I am like a creative tank with different taps, releasing expression as I see fit!
Remember that all my standard depth original canvases are reduced until 31st January.

Thank you for reading xx
Take Me to the Sea
Take me to the sea
And let me be lost
In divinity
Let all thoughts dissolve
And evaporate.
Take me to the sea
Have my tears be soothed
And met in salty essence.
Have my soul quieten,
Uneasy breath matched by gentle wave.
Take me to the sea
Hold me while I kick and giggle,
Salt buoyed and delighted
Enlightened, emboldened
And renewed.
Take me to the sea
When my mood is black
And watch as Nature’s power
Brings me back
To harmony and wonder.
Take me to the sea.
And have me bathe in shallow waters
Ice cold, yet warming
Jewel-like light
On my being.
Take me to the sea
And never let me wander.

Love the paintings! The first one is my favorite. The poem reveals your heart for the sea and how healing it can be.

Thanks Colleen..Yes I do love the sea..I couldn’t be away from it. Hence, why I live on a cliff and fall asleep to the sound of the waves! xx
