What is Kundalini?
What is Kundalini?
Kundalini is rooted in ancient Indian spiritual traditions. It refers to the dormant energy that resides at the base of the spine, often depicted as a coiled serpent. When awakened through specific practices and disciplines, this energy rises through the chakras, leading to spiritual enlightenment and self-realisation.
Kundalini can be awakened through specific practices such as meditation, breathing exercises, and yoga postures, or in my case through trauma, and going through emotional and physical turmoil.
I believe that Kundalini found me and erupted because I was at the lowest of my mental capacity, and had fully surrendered to Spirit, knowing that I couldn’t carry on with my mind calling the shots. As soon as I surrendered completely and fully, energy flew up from my root chakra and burst out of the top of my head, like I was giving birth to light.
One of the key aspects of kundalini is its association with the chakra system, which are the energetic centers within the human body. The kundalini energy rises through the seven chakras, starting from the base of the spine and culminating in the crown of the head. As it moves through each chakra, it purifies and awakens the individual’s consciousness, leading to spiritual awakening and self-realization.
After the initial episode the kundalini energy continued to work in my body, purging and purifying all blockages.
A kundalini awakening is a powerful and intense experience, characterized by a surge of energy through the spine and subtle body. This can be accompanied by physical sensations, emotional releases, and profound insights into one’s true nature.
The awakening of kundalini is not without its challenges. A strong foundation in spiritual practices, discipline, and guidance from an experienced teacher is recommended to navigate the powerful energy of kundalini safely. Without proper preparation and guidance, the awakening of kundalini can lead to physical, emotional, or psychological imbalances.
In my case, I did seek support and guidance as to how to manage the powerful energy that now runs through my body. The first two years were the most difficult. It was like learning to ride a bike without even knowing what a bike was.
I became so aware of energy, all of a sudden and could feel people’s energy fields from metres away. My spiritual gifts began to flow through me, in the form of knowing how to feel and release blockages in other people’s bodies and auras, and light language came pouring through my hands and voice (light language is an energetic vibration that comes through in movement, mark making and words that are not of an Earth language).
While the awakening of kundalini can be a challenging and intense process, it holds the promise of unlocking one’s true potential and connecting with the divine essence within. As such, the exploration of kundalini remains a central aspect of many spiritual traditions, offering seekers a path to inner transformation and enlightenment.
I know that as much as the kundalini has been challenging, and tough to navigate, that it has been crucial and part of my life’s purpose in helping to raise the collective consciousness of humanity. I believe and am experiencing many others now going through similar awakenings. It seems the more the vibration of Earth shifts, the more our bodies are returning to their natural uncoiled, divine state where energy flows unhindered.
As each of us, one by one, awakens our true essence is restored, and a new Earth is being born out of love, harmony, reciprocation and community. Are you ready for it?
