A Celebration of the Sea
Why do we love the sea so much?
Because the sea brings solace and comfort and a sense of peace, like no other place and because the power of the ocean reminds us of our own innate energy. Time spent at the ocean strips us of our barriers, our defences, our guard, our blockages, and we become one with the energy.

It is my absolute delight to be celebrating my love of the sea in a solo exhibition this month.
It is in this combined exhibition with both my Lisa McDonald wave oil work and my Haven House Art acrylics that I get to truly honour my passion for the ocean.
Ever since I was little, having spent many summers playing on the Sussex beaches, and now living in such close proximity to it in our clifftop house, in Wick, I have felt completely at home by the sea, in the sea, or on the sea.

Every moment spent with the sea is completely different. There are days when the ocean roars and bellows and tugs at our spirit, reminding us of our wild, untamed side, and yet on other days the sea can murmur ever so gently, and dance so beautifully and gracefully with sunlight, that we feel we could dissolve right there and then into the sparkle.

Whatever your relationship with the sea, it is my hope that both the acrylics and the oils bring you joy, love and healing.
Allow the cleansing and healing power of the ocean to fall upon you.
Sing with the waves, dance with the light.
Open your heart to all that you can be, and return to your essence.
You can visit the exhibition in the North Coast Visitor Centre, in Thurso until June 25th. Please check out their website for opening times –
